If you are a married female corps member who wants to serve in the same state as your husband, you may be wondering how to apply for NYSC relocation on marital grounds.

In this blog post, I will show you a sample of NYSC relocation letter on marital grounds and explain the steps you need to follow to get your relocation approved.

NYSC relocation on marital grounds is one of the four legal grounds for redeployment that NYSC allows. The other three are health, insecurity, and DG directive.

To qualify for relocation on marital grounds, you must provide evidence that you are married and that your husband lives in a different state from where you were posted.

The evidence you need to provide includes:

  • Marriage certificate
  • Newspaper change of name
  • Letter from your husband stating his state of residence
  • Utility bill or any other proof of address
  • ID card of your husband

You also need to write a formal letter to the Director General of NYSC requesting for relocation on marital grounds.

The letter should state your name, call-up number, state code, current state of deployment, desired state of relocation, and reason for relocation. You should also attach copies of the documents mentioned above.
